Earlier this month, the company announced that it had re-named Hotel & Travel Reservations Limited (HTRL) to Hotelworld Limited as part of an expansion strategy that will include the launch of a corporate reservations service and possible acquisitions of existing agencies by the one-time founder of First Option Hotel Reservations, Sheetal Kapoor.

Consolidation of the buying power of major clients globally delivers maximum benefits in achieving savings. Worldmeetings services include rate negotiations with frequently booked venues, global RFP-services and a reconciliation payment scheme to properties. Corporate procurement officials are provided with an online tool for monitoring their expenses.

The 25,000 hotels and meeting venues represented by Worldmeetings worldwide also enjoy a range of benefits including online rate management, facilities to respond to pending requests for proposals for meetings and events, room inventory control and content management for meeting and bedroom packages.

Hotelworld’s Commercial Director Ricky Kapoor said “we are delighted to be working with Worldmeetings.
