REPORT – WTM 2010: World Travel Market, the premier global event for the travel industry, has a number of the hotel sector’s most senior executives speaking on its most prominent issues in its WTM 2010 Hotels Programme.
The Hotels Programme, organised for World Travel Market by the Institute of Hospitality and sponsored by Filmbank, includes speakers from the world’s largest and most well known hotel chains including Rezidor, Hilton Hotels, Radisson Edwardian Hotels, Jumeirah Group and Guoman & Thistle Hotels.
The programme, which is spread across Tuesday 9 and Wednesday 10 November, starts with a master class by Galvin At Windows Owner Chris Galvin on how hotels can launch restaurants as stand alone establishments.
Galvin At Windows is the highly successful restaurant on the 28th floor of the Hilton Hotel in London’s Park Lane. Other speakers at the Not Just for Sleeping session include Puccini Group Managing Director Bob Puccini and Guoman &Thistle Hotels Managing Director Heiko Figge.
Jumeirah Group Global Chief Executive Guy Crawford and CHI Chief Executive & Managing Director Tony Potter discuss future prospects for hotel ownership in the Investment & Finance session.
The ever evolving hotel security and risk management picture will be discussed by Radisson Edwardian Hotels Group Security Manager Darren Carter in the first session on Wednesday 10 November Security and Risk Management.
Figge will also advice on managing a hotel’s reputation online in the Reputation, Reputation, Reputation session.
Hotel discount and its long term implications will be reviewed by the Hotel Marketing Association Chairman Pamela Carvell and Rezidor Senior Vice President Puneet Chaatwal.
