CRETE – Launching alongside its grand reopening this April, the five-star resort, Wyndham Grand Crete Mirabello Bay, officially unveils its all-new experience catalogue, presenting its future guests an array of exceptional excursions, adventures and culinary experiences for an unforgettable Cretan holiday.

Collaborating with local artisans and small businesses across northeastern Crete, Wyndham Grand Crete Mirabello Bay has curated an exclusive menu of unique tours and excursions from private sailing and fishing trips, to perfumery workshops and wine tours, to offer its guests an authentic, and truly immersive Cretan experience.

After undergoing its third and final phase of an extensive redesign and luxury upgrade, Wyndham Grand Crete Mirabello Bay will officially relaunch this April and unveil 108 redesigned rooms including six brand new room categories, all with private pools, a floating platform, and an all-new infinity pool. In addition, the resort’s olive grove has been landscaped and a new organic vegetable garden has been planted, providing the hotel’s kitchen with fresh, organic produce. Completing the guest experience, Wyndham Grand Crete Mirabello Bay has launched its brand new experiences catalogue, to elevate all guest stays and make for an authentic and memorable vacation.

Explore the Beautiful Coastline on a Sailing Trip

A perfect mix of luxury and adventure, resort guests will have the choice between incredible private sea-tours, which leave straight from the hotel’s marina. Whether a sunset cruise, a refreshing morning swim in some of Crete’s most beautiful beaches or a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage island of Spinalonga, the warm turquoise waters and white sands of Crete will no doubt elevate every guest’s stay.

Fish like a true Grecian

Guests will have the chance to indulge in one of the oldest professions in Greece; Fishing. After sailing on a traditional boat called KAIKI for a day of catching and diving, the specialised fishermen will combine some relaxing beach time with a private cooking class, stewing, amongst other local dishes, a delicious specialty fish soup called “Cacavia”.

Adventure in-land with a Jeep Safari

This excursion explores the beauties of the Cretan landscape in a unique and daring way. The 4X4 Jeep safaris navigate guests through forest trails and natural wonders such as the Diktaio Cave, birthplace of Zeus, King of the Gods, as well as the stunning beaches of Karavostasi, Agios Panteleimonas and Voulisma, all the while accompanied by experienced professional drivers.

Taste Crete’s Culinary & Wine Treasures

Crete has one of the oldest wine traditions in Europe, with grape cultivation appearing during the Minoan period 4,000 years ago, Cretan cuisine is also internationally renowned for its unique ingredients and flavours, all of which are based on simple techniques. Whether through a wine tour at the exceptional Spilia – Wyndham Grand Crete Mirabello Bay’s natural cave – or a traditional cooking lesson at the Mittato Shepherds Hut, hotel guests will have the opportunity to join excursions which allow them to fashion, taste, fish, or forage local nutrients on the resort grounds and beyond it.

Delve into Organic Cosmetics Workshops

Like the ancient Minoan Civilization of Crete of 4500 years ago, the resort partners with a local organic cosmetics and perfumes company, which utilises the natural wealth of the Cretan land, by creating organic cosmetics and fragrances. Visitors can spend the day learning, under the guidance of their team of experts, how to make natural perfumes, soaps or face creams to take home as a souvenir.

Refresh & Rejuvenate at the Spa

Guests can relax in the impressive Wellness Centre, which has unique design elements such as marble flooring and wood finishes throughout. At this serene spa, guests can enjoy a wide range of treatments, heat experiences in the steam room and saunas, revive their senses in the state-of-the-art spa facilities and make use of the indoor pool.

Wyndham Grand Crete Mirabello Bay will officially relaunch on April 15th, 2023.
