Avoya Travel’s 2024 Million Dollar Showcase in Orlando celebrated top Independent Agencies, offering networking, educational sessions, and supplier interactions.
FT. LAUDERDALE, FLA. – Avoya Travel, one of the travel industry’s most innovative brands, is celebrating the success of the 2024 Million Dollar Showcase, which took place at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando from July 29 – August 1. After the inaugural Million Dollar Showcase received overwhelmingly positive feedback in 2023 from Independent Agencies in the Avoya Network and Avoya’s supplier partners alike, the event returned in 2024 as an annual addition to Avoya’s robust calendar of in-person events. An exclusive event for Avoya Network members pacing to sell at least $1 Million in 2024, the agenda was curated to provide top-producing Independent Agencies with opportunities to network with one another, build relationships with Avoya’s preferred supplier partners and Avoya staff, and enhance their businesses through educational offerings targeted specifically to high-performing travel sellers.
Highlights of the networking opportunities at the Million Dollar Showcase included multiple cocktail parties, an Avoya Lounge for attendees to mingle in a dedicated space, and one-on-one appointments with suppliers. A particularly popular experience was a surprise Haunted Mansion themed dinner complete with a cast of characters and immersive décor held at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, sponsored by Disney Destinations. The final evening of the event featured an Awards Gala to honor the top-producing Avoya Network members with a night of celebrations, dinner, and dancing.
“The 2024 Million Dollar Showcase was a resounding success and we’re thrilled to have been able to bring so many top-producing Independent Agencies, preferred supplier partners, and Avoya staff together for such a powerful week of collaboration, education, and relationship building,” said Phil Cappelli, Chief Sales Officer of Avoya Travel. “Throughout the event and after, we received rave reviews from attendees and are excited about the energy and enthusiasm we saw on display from the Avoya Network. Their dedication to continuing to grow their businesses and learn more about the products in the Avoya portfolio was inspiring.”
Much of the agenda was filled with educational opportunities including panels and presentations from Avoya’s preferred supplier partners, onstage discussions with some of Avoya’s most successful travel advisors, and a headlining keynote speech from Dondra Ritzenthaler, Chief Executive Officer of Azamara. Interactive workshops throughout the days were another well-received highlight of the event for Independent Agencies, including sessions on maximizing earning outcomes, tips and tricks for optimizing performance in Avoya’s proprietary SaaS platform, Agent Power, utilizing social media to grow their businesses, leveraging Generative Artificial Intelligence in their daily workflows, and many more.
“Attending the Million Dollar Showcase was a really worthwhile experience offering insightful information that deepened my industry knowledge,” said Tiffany Jesudian, Owner of Travel Footloose, a member of the Avoya Network. “The stage presentations from both the suppliers and some of Avoya’s top agents helped me to pick up tips and tricks that will sharpen our game. We were able to deepen existing connections and establish new connections with suppliers which will broaden opportunities and enhance the services we can offer our clients.”
During the opening General Session, Avoya unveiled two new premier commission structures to incentivize growth and repeat business, which was welcomed with vigorous applause. Avoya also announced at the event that its 2024 Recognition Reward Trips for top-producing Independent Agencies will be hosted by Windstar Cruises and Oceania Cruises early next year.
