2019 marks a major milestone in representation company destinations UNLIMITED‘s history – their 30th anniversary serving the MICE market. Established in 1989, destinations UNLIMITED was the first DMC representation company of its kind. And 30 years later, the company is still a leader in the business events and MICE sector.

The company represents a portfolio of more than 30 DMCs and to maintain high standards, its DMCs are required to meet a strict set of criteria such as annual checks in-house on DMCs Liability Insurance, as well as providing a letter from the bank or audited accounts and references from UK agencies they have worked with.

Nikki Mitchell, Managing Partner of destinations UNLIMITED comments; “A lot of changes have taken place over the last 30 years. But we are still providing clients of all sizes with a first-class representation service.”

Our aim is to take the hard work out of organising events and this is achieved by working with highly reputable partners. Our DMCs act as an extension of an event planner’s team to ensure everything runs seamlessly.  The majority of DMCs we represent have been with us for more than 20 years. Each has been recommended by fellow industry professionals and have exemplary records in all aspects of destination management; from the initial creative input, to the smooth running of the services that they provide. Above all else, these partnerships provide clients with peace of mind that they are dealing with a highly reputable and carefully researched company.

To mark its 30th anniversary, destinations UNLIMITED hosted an exclusive event in County Kildare, Ireland. Approximately 30 senior MICE industry buyers gathered at the prestigious Carton House to celebrate the company’s 30th anniversary. The attendees were taken on a journey ‘around the world’ through speed networking sessions with a selection of its DMCs before joining them for a celebratory evening event in the centre of Dublin.

Representatives from agencies including Activate Events, A & I Group, Clive, SJ Event Consultancy, Glow, Linklaters, MicroTek and Global Events Travel joined the team from destinations UNLIMITED to mark the occasion.

Nikki Mitchell comments: “We are immensely proud to be celebrating our 30th anniversary. The industry has changed a lot over the years, but we have maintained our reputation for providing a high-quality service which can be relied on. This event is a great occasion for everybody in the destinations UNLIMITED family to come together and reflect on what we have achieved over the last 30 years.

Nikki continues; “The aim of the anniversary event was to give event planners valuable knowledge of our DMCs and what they have to offer. It’s the perfect way for event organisers for find out how their conference, event or incentive trip could work in many different global locations and being able to do so all under one roof. It was an extremely special occasion for all those involved.  Face to face contact with our DMCs is integral to helping them win new business and create new contacts; and the feedback we have from both sides was extremely positive.”
