Celebrating 25 years of Speciality & Fine Food Fair at Olympia

The 2024 Speciality & Fine Food Fair marks its 25th anniversary at Olympia Events, celebrating innovation in artisanal food with international producers and sustainability initiatives.

The 2024 Speciality & Fine Food Fair in September will be the 25th anniversary of the event at Olympia Events, first held at the venue in 2000, making West London once again the hub for inspiration and innovation in the artisanal food and drink world.

The show, on 10-11 September, brings together buyers from across the retail, hospitality and manufacturing sectors for tasting, product testing, networking and insights into industry trends. Thousands of visitors are expected to across the two days, with over 550 producers from 33 different countries, providing a platform for passionate entrepreneurs to progress their careers in the industry and grow their brands.

Nick Graham, Head of Sales at Olympia Events, commented on the long and successful partnership the venue has enjoyed with the show:“We’re really proud to have been home to Speciality & Fine Food Fair ever since 2000. The show has grown markedly since its first event and it always delights its visitors, bringing a vibrant industry together under our iconic roof. We can’t wait for September’s edition and look forward to continuing our fantastic relationship over the next 25 years too.”

To celebrate the 25th anniversary, the show are recognising 25 Rising Stars in partnership with Speciality Food Magazine. A mix of founders, owners, and CEOs from a number of brands, with products from butter, pasta, coffee, honey, charcuterie and fruit will be celebrated as inspiring stars in the industry. Product of the Year, Independent Retailer of the Year and an Outstanding Industry Champion will also be crowned at the event.

Sustainability is a big focus for both the fair and Olympia Events. The 2023 edition saw 1.02 tonnes of food donated through City Harvest, which went to feeding people experiencing food poverty across London. This equated to 6,821 meals and subsequently 2.49 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions were prevented. Exhibition stands are made through a modular shell scheme which has a life span of 15+ years, meaning they can be reused, and all aisle and shell scheme carpet is recycled within the UK.
