Voting opens for the 2019 miaList team awards

The votes for the awards, sponsored by Core Process, will help decide which shortlisted teams will be included on this year’s roll of honour that is designed to celebrate those who have collectively made a significant impact on their organisations.

Voting is now open for the Meetings Industry Association’s (mia) miaList team 2019 awards. The votes for the awards, sponsored by Core Process, will help decide which shortlisted teams will be included on this year’s roll of honour that is designed to celebrate those who have collectively made a significant impact on their organisations.

The short-listed teams are:

  • Babraham Bioscience Technologies, Conferencing and Events Team
  • Birmingham Conference & Events Centre
  • Church House, Event Coordinator Team
  • Hever Castle and Gardens, Housekeeping Team
  • ICC & Vox Conference Venue, Sales Team
  • Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, Catering Department
  • Meet Cambridge
  • MK Community Foundation, Conference Team
  • Patch Media
  • Primary, Operations Team
  • QEII Centre, QEII Taste
  • The Meetings Show
  • Victory Services Club, Event Sales Team

Two members of each shortlisted team attended a judging panel in London last month to present to judges, who include mia chief executive Jane Longhurst, Carol Primett of Anglian Water and Tracey Powiesnik of Core Process. Each team also produced a video.

Based on the judges’ feedback a weighted online vote will help determine the two winning teams who will be revealed alongside 10 individual awards at an awards lunch on 28 November at Park Plaza Riverbank.

Jane Longhurst, chief executive of the mia, said: “Yet again we have some incredibly strong contenders for the miaList team titles, and we have already seen some impressive presentations and videos from them. All teams have done fantastically well to get to this stage. Now it is down to our fellow meetings and events industry professionals to get behind them and vote for the teams they feel have really gone above and beyond to offer exceptional service.”
