Ibis Styles Heathrow East has appointed Waqas Bin Tahir as its new General Manager ahead of its opening. The striking new 1930s-inspired hotel, which is the fourth franchise partnership between AccorHotels and Splendid Hospitality Group, is due to open in November 2019 in Hounslow.
Waqas has extensive experience in the hospitality industry, having worked in both Radisson and Ibis Styles hotels for over 14 years. For the past 7 years, Waqas has worked in General Manager roles at Ibis Southampton Centre, Ibis Budget Portsmouth and Ibis Budget London Hounslow, making him the perfect candidate for this new GM role.
At Ibis Styles Heathrow East, Waqas will use his honed skills and expert knowledge to drive the business forward and develop an empowered team through a collaborative approach. Waqas aims to create a culture with genuine, first-class customer service and effectively manage his team to positively contribute to the local community through continuous engagement, with people always at the heart of the business.
