Ewan Grant joins Edinburgh’s Gleneagles Townhouse as General Manager, bringing extensive UK hospitality experience and a passion for local culture.
Edinburgh’s Gleneagles Townhouse – the stylish city outpost to Gleneagles Hotel – announces the appointment of new General Manager, Ewan Grant.
A native Scotsman with deep roots in Edinburgh, Ewan has returned to his homeland to drive innovation at Gleneagles Townhouse. Bringing with him over 17 years of experience as well as a wealth of local insight, Ewan has led renowned venues across the UK, from General Manager at The Ivy in Marlow to Borthwick Castle. Most recently, his leadership as Operations Director at Daylesford Organic earned him widespread acclaim, overseeing The Fox at Oddington, one of England’s most anticipated openings.
Combined with a sincere passion for the city of Edinburgh and his background in F&B, membership engagement and operational management, Ewan’s knowledge of the local hospitality scene will continue to drive success and help the connection between Gleneagles Townhouse and Gleneagles’ iconic property in Auchterarder.

Opened June 2022, Gleneagles Townhouse sits in the heart of St Andrew Square. It is home to a 33-room hotel, bustling all day restaurant, lively members’ club and rooftop bar with extraordinary views over Edinburgh’s storied skyline. Previously home to the Bank of Scotland the hotel features chic interiors from AIME Studios that are both unique and charming whilst preserving the building’s historical significance. The Strong Rooms – the hotel’s state-of-the-art wellness space – are housed within the former bank vault. Further asserting itself on the hospitality scene, Gleneagles Townhouse featured in Conde Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards and was afforded the Michelin Guide- One Key Distinction UK and Ireland in October 2024.
