Guy McGregor joins Luxury Frontiers as Managing Director, bringing over two decades of expertise from Singita to lead the firm’s design and project services.
JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA – Luxury Frontiers, the multi-faceted design firm specializing in architecture and interior design for immersive eco-tourism hospitality, announces the appointment of Guy McGregor as Managing Director.
Guy brings over 21 years of expertise from his tenure as General Manager for Group Development, Projects & Procurement at the award-winning hospitality brand Singita. At Singita, he led major lodge refurbishments, helped scale the brand from three to sixteen lodges across Africa, and established a design and procurement division to support this expanded portfolio. In his new role, Guy will focus on day-to-day operations for Luxury Frontiers Studio, which encompasses the firm’s design and project services, including architecture, landscape architecture, interior design, procurement, and project management. He will work closely with Luxury Frontiers’ Managing Partner and Chief Design Officer, Graeme Labe, who will continue to lead innovation and guide the studio’s design direction.
Guy’s passion for hospitality started at a young age, inspired by his love for people and a dream to own a game lodge. Motivated by the opportunity to make a positive difference, he strives to support the crucial role luxury experiential travel plays in conservation and supporting remote communities, creating financial sustainability while bringing attention to protecting fragile ecosystems and iconic locations.
“I’m excited about the opportunity to grow Luxury Frontiers at this critical stage,” Guy says. “The opportunity to work at scale across multiple brands and operators on different continents was both a natural progression and a tremendous challenge I’m eager to embrace.”
Guy’s role is a natural fit, blending his experience in project management, development, design, operations, contract management, and procurement. He is preparing the firm for continued growth by refining systems and processes to support larger-scale projects, while also advancing procurement and logistics to boost efficiency and creative output – without compromising Luxury Frontiers’ dedication to detail and personalized approach.
“In an ever-evolving industry, Luxury Frontiers remains committed to pushing boundaries and bringing innovative, impactful hospitality designs and experiences to the market,” says Luxury Frontiers CEO & Founder Luca Franco. “We are committed to shaping the future of our industry for the better, and we’re thrilled for Guy to join us in the mission.”
