MIAMI, FL – Mayfair House Hotel & Garden, the iconic Coconut Grove property, which recently unveiled an incredible transformation, announce Michael Stephens as its new General Manager. Stephens, a Miami native with over two decades of hospitality leadership experience, will oversee all aspects of the hotel’s operations, furthering its position as a premier luxury destination in Miami. This appointment comes on the heels of the hotel receiving some of the most coveted industry awards and accolades, including two Michelin Keys, Conde Nast Traveler’s Hot List and Readers’ Choice Awards, Travel + Leisure’s It List, and Travel Weekly’s Magellan Awards.
Michael Stephens brings a wealth of experience to Mayfair House Hotel & Garden, having most recently served as the opening General Manager for The Elser Hotel and Residence in Miami. Under his leadership, The Elser achieved some of the destination’s top review rankings in its first year of operations. Stephens’ impressive career includes roles as Area Managing Director for Mission Pacific Hotel and The Seabird Resort in North San Diego County, as well as leadership positions at renowned properties such as Paradise Point Resort and Spa, Lansdowne Resort and Golf Club, and Grand Hyatt Sao Paulo.

The property now features brand new culinary and cocktail concepts, including Mayfair Grill by Chef Giorgio Rapicavoli, Fountain Lounge, and Sipsip Rum Bar. With 179 residentially appointed guest rooms, curated art from local and international artists, and 9,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor event space, the hotel has quickly garnered significant industry accolades.
