NEW ORLEANS, LA – The New Orleans Marriott and Sheraton New Orleans Hotel announce the appointment of Rebecca O’Brien, CMP, as the sister properties’ new Senior Sales Executive. With an impressive record in the tourism & hospitality industry, O’Brien brings a wealth of New Orleans-centric experience to the hotels, further enhancing the hotels commitment to exceptional customer service and continued success.
As Senior Sales Executive, O’Brien will be responsible for generating group business from the mid-Atlantic markets, including Washington, D.C, Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and North and South Carolina.

Rebecca joins the property from Greater New Orleans, Inc. (GNO, Inc.), where she served as Director of Business Development for more than two years. Prior to GNO, Inc., Rebecca was a Convention Sales Account Executive for seven years with New Orleans & Company where she was responsible for bringing corporate and association meetings, and conventions to the city. Rebecca is a Certified Meetings Professional and holds a master’s degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management from the University of New Orleans and a B.S. Degree in Public Relations from the University of Florida.
