Regent Porto Montenegro welcomes Angelo Zuccala as General Manager, indicating new growth for the luxury hotel. He remains IHG Balkan Area General Manager.

Regent Porto Montenegro, a luxurious waterfront property in the heart of Boka Bay, welcome a new General Manager, Angelo Zuccala. Angelo is currently the IHG Balkan Area General Manager, an impressive role he will continue to perform, and is thrilled to join the Regent Porto Montenegro family. This exciting appointment indicates a brand-new chapter of growth and development for the five-star hotel.

Before arriving in Regent Porto Montenegro, Angelo was the General Manager at InterContinental Sofia since June 2018, the time throughout which he has also been the IHG Balkan Area General Manager. In this brand-new position, Angelo will oversee six luxurious hotels and will manage any future developments in the region.

“I have spent over 12 years working in the Balkan region and moving to Montenegro is a dream come true. Montenegro has such a welcoming atmosphere and I know that the kindness of my team and the local people will make me, my wife, and my sons feel as though we are part of the Regent family. I am thrilled at the prospect of working with the team to grow and develop, not only the Regent brand but hospitality in Boka Bay – an industry that should be celebrated,” delights Angelo Zuccala, General Manager of Regent Porto Montenegro.

Angelo started working for IHG at the Carlton Cannes as the Director of Events Sales in 2003. With more than 21 years of working with the expansive brand, Angelo has contributed significantly to the growth and stability of the Balkan region as the Area General Manager. Under his guidance and leadership, the region has experienced consistent improvements in quality, a feat celebrated by multiple global tourism awards including four of his hotels ranking among the top eight Elite Hotels in Guest Love in 2023.

During his time in the Balkans, Angelo has grown fond of the region and is looking forward to advancing hotel developments and working with the incredible Regent Porto Montenegro team.
