Kolpin Hotels and the group’s new brand – Roberta’s Society, opening in Aarhus announce the appointment of Jamie Callaghan as the property’s first General Manager. Jamie brings over 15 years of experience in the hospitality and tourism sectors to the project. In addition, he previously worked as the General Manager in the former property – the Book1 Design Hostel in Aarhus.
Born in the North of England, Jamie moved to Australia after finishing University and spent most of his time working in Australia and New Zealand before moving to Denmark in 2020 as part of the pre-opening team at Book1 Design Hostel. As part of the pre-opening team, Jamie contributed to delivering an outstanding product with remarkable results. He implemented a diverse range of procedures that enabled them to welcome over 125,000 guests in 2023 while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction levels.
“Jamie, is a perfect fit for Kolpin Hotels’ development of Roberta’s Society. With his international experience within the “hybrid” hotel world, he’ll contribute to Kolpin Hotels development of a new brand within the budget segment.” says Karim Nielsen, CEO, Kølpin Hotels.

Since moving here in 2020, I’ve developed a deep passion for our “City of Smiles.” It has become my mission to spotlight the latest local trends and showcase the unique charm of Aarhus to both domestic and international audiences.”

This new brand is aimed at guests between 18 and 50 years of age, and we want to accommodate both business and holiday guests or students who can stay there for a longer period.
