SARASOTA, FL – The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota, the award-winning resort and luxury landmark located on Florida’s central Gulf coast, announce the appointment of Sofie Wachtmeister as the property’s new Marketing & Public Relations Manager. In her role, Wachtmeister will be responsible for the development and execution of the property’s overarching marketing strategy with the goal of driving revenue and supporting total hotel goals.

A graduate of Marshall University in Huntington, WV, Wachtmeister is a high-energy communications professional with close to a decade’s worth of experience in the marketing realm. Previous roles have included Marketing Manager at Sarasota’s Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium, Integrated Media Buyer at MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas, and most recently Marketing & Public Relations Manager at Center For Sight, offering leading ophthalmology services in southwest Florida.
