The Westin Indianapolis appoints James Nicholson as Restaurant Chef at Ten Hands Social Bar & Eatery, promising seasonal menu innovations starting this June.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN. – The Westin Indianapolis, located in the heart of downtown Indianapolis, announces the appointment of Restaurant Chef James Nicholson. In his new role as Restaurant Chef at the hotel’s signature restaurant, Ten Hands Social Bar & Eatery, Chef James will oversee day-to-day culinary operations including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and private dining. With a deep understanding of food and beverage operations and staff management, Chef James will revamp the menus at the restaurant to be updated seasonally. The first changes are slated to take place in early June to kick-off the summer season. Ten Hands Social Bar & Eatery features a modern yet retro style with the largest television screen in the city, made up of 27 screens measuring 6 feet tall and 34 feet long.  

“In time for al fresco dining season, Chef James will bring a refreshed approach to nourishing meals at Ten Hands,” said Andy Seal, General Manager at The Westin Indianapolis. “His extensive culinary experience and passion for seasonal produce and proteins will continue to make the restaurant downtown Indy’s go-to place to gather.” 

Restaurant Chef James Nicholson brings 18 years of experience to his new role, with his career beginning with a Chef de Cuisine role at Richard’s Kitchen in Indianapolis. Following service as a cook in the United States Army for five years, Chef James was Sous Chef at Taxman Brewing Company in Indianapolis, IN and Virago in Nashville, TN. Most recently, Chef James held leadership roles as Executive Chef at Tony’s Steaks & Seafood and Taxman Brewing Company, both in Indianapolis.
