  • Pete Gill

Heidi Greenacre joins the sports, media and entertainment group travel specialists as Head of F1 Operations, and Pete Gill takes on a new role as Head of Account Management.

Travel Places has announced the expansion of its management team, with the appointment of two new key positions. Heidi Greenacre joins the sports, media and entertainment group travel specialists as Head of F1 Operations, and Pete Gill takes on a new role as Head of Account Management.

With more than a decade of experience working in the travel industry, Heidi came to Travel Places from her most recent position at Qantas Groups, where she spent over six years in account management and operational roles. Heidi reports to Travel Places Director of Flight Operations, Helen Cox, and will head up the team that plans and manages the flight schedules for our clients, and group flight procurement.

Pete Gill joins Travel Places as Head of Account Management. Reporting into Joint Managing Director, Matthew Warren, he will look after a number of key clients to understand every aspect of their requirements and ensure the service is tailored to these. Coming from a sports travel background, Pete spent six years at ATPI Sports Events, where his most recent position was Global Sports and Media Account Manager.

As the leading travel management company for the sports, media and entertainment industry, Travel Places currently employs around 80 people from its head office in Worthing, West Sussex. These new appointments follow a significant period of growth for the business, which has seen a 25 per cent increase in staff numbers compared to pre-pandemic levels.

Matthew Warren, Joint Managing Director of Travel Places, said of the appointments: “We are delighted to welcome Heidi and Pete to the team, both of whom bring a wealth of experience in their specialist fields.

“They join us at an extremely exciting time for our business and one of significant growth. As we expand, our highest priority is to retain the values and identity that are so important to us – that of a family business with an unwavering focus on our customers. These new roles and the expansion of our team will ensure we continue to provide the personal service that our customers have come to expect from us, whilst positioning us for continued success and future growth.”
