Luna Maye is named the new Director of Wellness and Spa at W Philadelphia, promising innovative wellness programs and luxury spa experiences.

PHILADELPHIA, PA – W Philadelphia, Center City’s luxury hotel anchored in wellness, creativity, and connection, announces Luna Maye as the new Director of Wellness and Spa. With a combined fifteen years of experience in hospitality, music, and wellness, Maye is celebrated globally for her visionary multidisciplinary expression including international performances and collaboration with W Philadelphia previously to offer state-of-the-art meditative concerts and sound therapy treatments at AWAY Spa for both guests and locals alike.

Within this new role, Maye will support guests in exploring their personal definition of what it means to be well, via rejuvenating treatments at the award-winning AWAY Spa, innovative programming building upon current offerings like Hydroga and collagen-infused cocktails, and a sustainable retail program for guests to incorporate nature-based products which respect both the skin and the planet into their daily routines.

“This is a full circle moment for me,” said Luna Maye. “Bridging worlds between luxury hospitality, music, wellness, and nature has been at the core of my purpose, career, and how I feel called to be of artful service to the world. I am inspired by W Hotels’ commitment to celebrating the artist in all of us and I look forward to fostering a space where all guests and team members are free to be who they are and explore what wellness and liberated luxury means to them. All are welcome to relax with restorative experiences that are in service to deep care of self, each other, and the planet. I am excited to lead a program rooted in personalized luxury that encourages guests to prioritize self-care, compassion for others, and sustainability beyond their stay.”

Under Maye’s leadership, the program will preserve the standard of excellence that W Philadelphia is celebrated for while introducing new offerings and experiences built on connection and discovery. These include:

  • Zen Den: Press pause from the stress-inducing sounds of the city and press play on relaxation with Luna Maye’s state-of-the-art soundscapes via spatial audio headphones inside AWAY Spa. Embrace an accessible, mindful, and restorative experience to down-regulate the nervous system and spark inspiration. No meditation experience is needed, complimentary to all hotel + spa guests.
  • Zero-Proof Wellness Beverage Menu: The refreshed menu leads with zero-proof beverages infused with nutrient-rich ingredients, offering an elegant yet mindful drinking experience. Looking ahead, AWAY Spa plans to expand the program to feature functional and adaptogenic drinks designed with guests’ complete well-being in mind.
  • Associate Wellness Engagement: In service to those in service, Luna will design and lead various wellness initiatives in partnership with Human Resources to nourish the team and support personal and professional well-being and fulfillment.
  • Decompress at AWAY: For the curious in search of peak relaxation, Luna has designed a Decompression AWAY Spa Treatment Experience to decompress following a high-energy occasion, like a wedding or concert. With a secret booking code, get your golden ticket for an AWAY Spa experience captivating the senses featuring a 50-minute massage treatment and cellular massage of sound in the Zen Den.

AWAY Spa, recognized by Philadelphia Style Magazine as ‘Best Hotel Spa’ shortly following its opening, will continue to offer beloved treatments like the De-Stress Massage, Lux Mani, and the Detox Facial, with sustainable and regenerative Comfort Zone products available for purchase. Looking to later this year, Maye looks forward to expanding nature-focused initiatives and creating space for local artisans to be featured in collaboration. She additionally looks forward to creating restorative wellness experiences tailored to W Philadelphia associates because the art of hospitality and care isn’t just for hotel guests but for each other.

“Since we opened our doors, it’s been incredible to see how our wellness and spa experiences resonate deeply with the vibrant artistic community of Philadelphia and beyond,” said Ed Baten, Complex General Manager of W Philadelphia. “With Luna Maye leading the way, I look forward to the future of our program and ways she will continue to cater to, foster, and grow this community.”

AWAY Spa is open seven days a week from 10am to 7pm to both guests and locals. Local guests can enjoy WET Deck pool access during their spa stay with all body and facial treatments.
