2017 Incentive Travel Exchange ends with high marks

Suppliers were all entitled to a minimum of 25 private, one-to-one appointments with buyers they could select in advance of the event based on detailed profiles, which enabled them to meet with those most relevant to their business needs.

NEW YORK – Questex Travel Group announced the next Incentive Travel Exchange will take place February 14-17, 2018 at The Delano Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay.

The 12th annual event, held in partnership with SITE, the Society for Incentive Travel Excellence, came to a close last night with a farewell reception hosted by Smith & Wollensky, followed by Legends in Concert, the classic tribute show.

For over 12 years, ITE has brought fully hosted, high-volume North American meeting planners & incentive buyers together with global travel suppliers for two and a half days of exclusive networking, education, entertainment, and of course, prescheduled one-to-one meetings in private, luxury suites.

Suppliers were all entitled to a minimum of 25 private, one-to-one appointments with buyers they could select in advance of the event based on detailed profiles, which enabled them to meet with those most relevant to their business needs.

In addition, to give visitors the opportunity to meet with everyone in attendance, approximately 300 buyers and suppliers, additional networking activities included a welcome reception held at the Skyfall Lounge in The Delano, hosted by MGM Resorts International, helicopter rides over the Strip sponsored by Maverick Aviation Group, teambuilding at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas, and some even tried their luck during a texas hold’em and craps tutorial sponsored by Preferred Events.

Guests began the last day of ITE with a motivational speech by keynote speaker Vince Poscente. Poscente, a former Olympic skier and New York Times bestselling author of seven books, engaged the audience with “The Age of Speed – Learning to Thrive in a More – Faster – Now World.” Through Poscente’s uplifting speech, attendees learned to lead better, sell more, move past obstacles, and create the kind of success they deserve in this fast paced business world.

Between all the activity over the past two and a half days, buyers and suppliers conducted 2,867 one-to-one appointments, ensuring a month’s worth of new contacts and walked away with qualified RFPs and potential new business. Both suppliers and buyers alike were exceptionally satisfied with the event and the expected takeaways.

“The positive feedback we received on site was tremendous,” said John McMahon, executive vice president of the Questex Travel Group. “Attendees really took advantage of all of the networking opportunities throughout the two and a half days, some even saying that ITE was hands-down, the best investment they’ve made on an event in the MICE industry.”

McMahon went on to say that Questex is currently offering a special early bird discount for any suppliers who reserve their 2018 suite before July 6, 2017.

Suppliers included cruise lines, hotels, resorts, spas, tour operators, destination management companies, and some of the most sought-after incentive destinations across the globe.

Buyers represented key incentive purchasing sectors including corporate incentive buyers and incentive companies, as well as meeting planners.

ITE 2017 sponsors include Aruba Convention Bureau, AWG Destination Management Services, BASE Entertainment, Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas, Maui Jim Sunglasses, Maverick Aviation Group, MGM Resorts International, Preferred Events, Quebec City Business Destination, Smith & Wollensky Restaurant Group, The Sun Lux Collection by Sun International, Vince Poscente International, and Visit Scotland.

Global Meeting & Incentive Travel Exchanges, owned and managed by Questex LLC, bring together qualified buyers and travel suppliers in key locations to provide a powerful platform for productive one-to-one meetings in private suites tailored to each attendee’s business objectives. The appointment-based events cater exclusively to the meetings, incentives, conferences and events market.
