The historical Grand Hotel Angiolieri, an original ancient villa, was converted to a convent back in 100 BC. During the 18th century, the convent was purchased by the Cosenza family and became one of the first hotels on the Sorrento Coast, named Hotel Seiano. Back in the 1950s, Dini Risi’s
“Pane e Amore”, starring Sophia Lauren was filmed at the hotel. After immense renovations in 2006, the Grand Hotel Angiolieri emerged, preserving the beauty and detailed original architecture of yesteryear while adding the amenities for today’s traveler.
