Aeroporti di Roma announce the launch of its Movie Lounge, the first movie theatre that will be located inside Fiumicino Airport - inaugurating in October 2022. Developed in collaboration with Rai Cinema and presented at Cannes Film Festival’s Italian Pavillion, the Movie Lounge will enrich the entertainment offer for all passengers: short movies accessible to users with hearing and visual disabilities, as well as virtual reality films will be available, with many contents focused on raising awareness regarding the most relevant social issues.
Veronica Pamio, ADR’s Vice President External Relations & Sustainability, commented: "To realize the first Movie Lounge inside an Italian airport represents a great satisfaction for ADR; an important step in our path to enhance culture, as well as a further confirmation of ADR's commitment to combining excellence, social sustainability and innovation for the benefit of passengers, ensuring that Fiumicino's role as a gateway to Rome is more and more future-proof. We are happy to collaborate with Rai Cinema on a cultural entertainment project that focuses on social inclusion and innovation, central pillars of our strategy. Projects of this kind are essential for the future of our sector, and we thank the Italian Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC) for supporting the implementation of our vision."
