Air Astana retains Five Star APEX rating – in ‘major airline’ category

The award, announced coinciding with the APEX.aero event in Los Angeles, CA. last week by the esteemed non-profit membership trade association, is dedicated to improving the entire airline passenger experience.

Air Astana, the flag carrier of Kazakhstan, has once again been recognized as a Five Star award-winning airline in the Major Airline category by the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) in its 2020 Official Airline Ratings.

The award, announced coinciding with the APEX.aero event in Los Angeles, CA. last week by the esteemed non-profit membership trade association, is dedicated to improving the entire airline passenger experience. The rating is based solely on verified and certified passenger feedback.

The APEX Official Airline Ratings are based on neutral, third-party passenger feedback and insights gathered through APEX's partnership with Tripit®  from Concur® the world's highest-rated travel-organising app. The rating was based on passengers’ online reviews from July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019. One million flights were covered among 600 airlines in the world, all appraised and certified by an independent external auditing company.

Passengers evaluated carriers according to five parameters – seat comfort, on-board service, food and drinks, entertainment system and Wi-Fi service. Over 20 global airlines, 13 major and two regional airlines reached Five Star status as determined by their passenger ratings.

For 40 years APEX, the esteemed non-profit membership trade association, has represented the world's leading airlines, suppliers and associated companies, working with its members to elevate the passenger experience.

APEX.aero, this year held in Los Angeles for the first time, attracts more than 5,000 industry professionals including representatives of 125 airlines, showcasing the most comprehensive display of airline related technologies, products and services.
