ALHI bolsters global Sales team with three new appointments

The ALHI Global Sales team supports meetings professionals, association executives, incentive specialists and business executives worldwide in securing exceptional properties for meetings, conventions and incentive programs.

BOSTON, MA – Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI), a subsidiary of Associated Luxury Hotels, which serves as the global sales force for over 250 luxury hotels, announce three new additions to its Global Sales team, including Daniel Aguero-Dupla as director of global sales in the UK, Divya Saighal as director of sales for the south GSO region and Christine Squitieri as director of sales for the Northeast GSO region. The ALHI Global Sales team supports meetings professionals, association executives, incentive specialists and business executives worldwide in securing exceptional properties for meetings, conventions and incentive programs.

Daniel Aguero-Dupla joins ALHI with nearly a decade of experience in sales leadership roles in the hospitality industry. As director of global sales, he will serve the MICE industry within the U.K. and Europe, focusing on collaborations with meeting and incentive professionals to provide easy access to ALHI’s robust portfolio of over 250 luxury, hotels and resorts. Most recently, Aguero-Dupla served as associate director of sales at Hotel Cafe Royal where he led communications and partnerships with corporate planners and third party agencies to increase the hotel’s visibility among the group meetings market in the United States and the U.K. He also served as groups and events business development manager for The Savoy, A Fairmont Managed Hotel where he specialized in MICE sales, and led international group sales as the corporate sales manager for the Chancery Court Hotel, which reopened as the Rosewood London in 2013.

Aguero-Dupla attended the University of Miami to study business administration and later earned a Bachelor of Business Administration Honours degree from the Les Roches Swiss International School of Hotel Management. Aguero-Dupla will report to Chris Riccardi, executive vice president of Associated Luxury Hotels International, and will be based out of the company’s offices in London.

Divya Saighal brings over 14 years of hotel sales experience to her new role as director of sales for the south GSO region. Most recently, Saighal served as director of housing at EM2 Sports, where she partnered with event planners and assisted with all aspects of hotel and housing needs. She led a team of 12 in the acquisition of new events and tournaments, expanding from 5 to 30 yearly events during her tenure. Additionally, she was part of the pre-opening sales team for the 4-diamond AT&T Hotel and Conference Center, accomplishing 155% of the hotel’s sales goal for the first fiscal year, reaching 3.1 million dollars booked to the goal of 2 million.

Saighal is a graduate from University of Texas at Austin and will be based out of the ALHI Global Sales office in Austin, Texas

Christine Squitieri is a seasoned sales professional with 25 years of extensive hospitality sales experience. In her new role as director of sales, she will manage key customer accounts across the northeast region of the United States. Throughout her career, she has managed national and global sales for a variety of hotels, including the Historic Thayer Hotel in West Point, NY, Tarrytown House Estate & Conference Center, ARAMARK Harrison Lodging, DOLCE Hotels and Resorts, among others. Prior to joining ALHI, Squitieri was the national sales manager for the Ocean Edge Resort & Conference Center in Brewster, MA, which is a distinguished member resort served by ALHI.

Squitieri is a graduate of Stonehill College where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in English and Communication and will be based out of the ALHI Global Sales office in New York, NY.
