Amara Cay Resort appoints Lauren Clevenger as General Manager

As an effective communicator, Lauren Clevenger utilizes her skills to share compassion and make every guest feel special.

ISLAMORADA, FLA. – Resting along the Atlantic Ocean and immersed in the Florida Key's Islamorada's vibrant culture, the casually redefined Amara Cay Resort announces General Manager Lauren Clevenger. Generating a new perspective and passion around the 110-room resort, Clevenger has big plans for elevating the guest experience.

“Lauren is a significant leader for the Amara Cay team as she brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and passion for making the guest experience the best possible,” said Eddie Sipple, regional general manager of Islamorada Resort Company. “I’ve been incredibly impressed by the progress and efficiency of Lauren’s hospitality leadership path.”

As an effective communicator, Clevenger utilizes her skills to share compassion and make every guest feel special. Clevenger graduated from Middle Tennessee State University and has more than 10 years of customer service experience. Before stepping up as General Manager,
Clevenger worked her way through the Islamorada Resort Collection as a front desk guest services manager and events coordinator. Clevenger learned the art of guest satisfaction, monitoring staff performance as well as developing strategies and services to maximize
productivity.

“I am delighted to be a part of the Amara Cay team and so excited for our team’s effort to take this resort to the next level,” said Lauren Clevenger, general manager of Amara Cay Resort.

“Time management, guest interactions and organizational skills are my priority as I work every day to support and strengthen our hospitality team while having a great time doing it.”

Inspired by Islamorada’s claim to fame as the “Sport Fishing Capital of the World,” Amara Cay Resort’s signature restaurant, Reel Catch, presents ocean-inspired cuisine. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, Reel Catch offers al fresco and indoor dining with creative craftsmanship focused on the food that also continues behind the bar with a well-rounded list of tiki and craft cocktails, beer and premium wine.

Amara Cay Resort offers an oceanfront respite seamlessly blending recreation and relaxation with 110 well-appointed guest rooms and suites.
