Anvil Group releases new version of its global health and safety app to help protect employees and corporate travellers

The Anvil app offers a consolidated resource of up-to-date health and risk intelligence for all countries and major cities around the world, including details of the latest restrictions imposed by governments concerning Covid-19.

Global travel and operational risk management company, Anvil Group, has released a new version of its health and safety app that provides employees and travellers with real-time security and medical advice and support.

Available on iOS and Android devices, the app integrates seamlessly with Anvil’s other award-winning risk management technology solutions and provides a simple interface for personnel to review trip information, if travelling, and receive real-time alerts about emerging threats or live incidents in their locality that could impact their safety or wellbeing. The app also provides a one-click feature which sends an emergency SOS or check-in alert to the user’s security team or Anvil’s 24/7 medical and security assistance centre.

Positioned as a ‘virtual health and safety companion’, the Anvil app is exclusively available to Anvil clients to support their employees, travellers and expatriates.

Matthew Judge, Group Managing Director, Anvil Group: “This latest iteration of the Anvil app has been designed to further personalise the user experience and grant fast access to critical information and support. The app minimises employees’ exposure to danger and disruption while away on business or while closer to home. It distils intelligence from Riskmatics®, Anvil’s sophisticated awareness, alerting and response system, to provide individuals with the information they need, when they need it.”

The Anvil app offers a consolidated resource of up-to-date health and risk intelligence for all countries and major cities around the world, including details of the latest restrictions imposed by governments concerning Covid-19.

Each country and city is assigned a risk level, so that users can quickly understand the risk profile of their destination. In addition, users can select to receive push notification alerts about developing situations or live incidents occurring in their immediate locality or other locations of interest and visualise them instantly using the map view feature.

If users find themselves in a vulnerable situation, a one-click feature will send an emergency SOS or check-in alert to their security team, or if subscribed to Anvil Assist, one-click connection to Anvil’s 24/7 medical and security advice and assistance service.

Matthew Judge continues: “As we’re all too aware, our world is constantly in flux – from natural disasters to viruses to political unrest – things can change in an instant. Organisations need to prepare for, and be able to react to, those risks quickly and effectively and protect their people accordingly. Whether they have frequent international travellers or simply employees on their daily commutes, organisations have a duty of care to ensure that all their people are adequately informed and supported. The Anvil app allows them to do just that.”

The Anvil app is just one of a wide range of products and services designed by Anvil Group to support travel risk management, operational resilience and occupational health.
