APH launches new ‘Park And Ride with Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging’ service at Gatwick and Manchester car parks

The new service offers EV owners not only a guaranteed parking space and customer service that is second to none, but an APH fully trained driver will move the car to a secure parking bay for the duration of the trip once charged.

Multi-award-winning airport parking specialist Airport Parking and Hotels, has officially launched a new APH Park and Ride with EV Charging service at its Gatwick Airport and Manchester Airport car parks.

From September 2022, APH customers driving electric vehicles can book the new off-airport parking with EV charging package at both off-airport sites, with the flexibility of pre-booking or upgrading on the day. EV Charging costs are £39.99 for a 30kWh charge and £59.99 for 60kWh on top of the normal parking charges.

The new service offers EV owners not only a guaranteed parking space and customer service that is second to none, but an APH fully trained driver will move the car to a secure parking bay for the duration of the trip once charged. Drivers are asked to bring their own charging cable and arrive with a minimum charge of 5% remaining on arrival.

Nick Caunter, Managing Director of Airport Parking and Hotels (APH.com) said, “With so many drivers now switching to electric vehicles, we needed to provide these APH customers with another valuable service when flying abroad. The new EV charging service at both our Gatwick and Manchester car parks provides customers with the peace of mind they will be returning to a charged vehicle for their journey home. The cost of the new EV charging service is good value for money in these times of hyperinflation in electricity costs and especially when compared to the cost of refuelling a petrol or diesel vehicle.”
