Evelyn Haran, who is currently Chief Operating Officer at PREM Group, has been part of the Advisory Board and Treasury committee and instrumental in helping the ASAP get to this point.

The Association of Serviced Apartment Providers (ASAP), the trade body for the serviced apartment and aparthotel sector and representing Members in 25 countries worldwide, announce Evelyn Haran incoming Chair from September 1st 2020.

Evelyn, who is currently Chief Operating Officer at PREM Group, has been part of the Advisory Board and Treasury committee and instrumental in helping the ASAP get to this point.

As Chair, she will be ably supported by incoming Deputy Chair Robert Alley, Chief Operating Officer at Roomzzz Aparthotels. Robert himself joined the Advisory Board last September and along with his step up to Deputy, he will also move to the Treasury Committee.

James Foice, ASAP CEO, says: “Our Advisory board and Treasury committee are a vital support to me and the ASAP team in helping develop and guide our Association. They have helped us to refine our sector-leading Accreditation product, and work to ensure our Members become the first choice for anyone booking accommodation worldwide.

“Evelyn has been a huge part of that, as has Robert; and I am delighted they have been elected to their respective roles and will continue to support our growth, by leading our team of experts.”

Evelyn says: “2020 has, of course, been a dramatic year right across hospitality, globally. But serviced apartments are poised to make a faster recovery than many, as travellers start to feel confident in booking accommodation while looking for the safest option. I have very much enjoyed watching ASAP evolve, while supporting those of us operating in this growing sector. I now look forward to what the coming year may bring!”

Robert agrees: “ASAP was instrumental in keeping many operators afloat this year. In our own business, we were able to house keyworkers and others, and were hit less hard than some during lockdown. Now I look forward to helping where I can as Deputy Chair, to make the oncoming recovery a smooth one.”

Foice concludes: “Having your own in-apartment kitchen and laundry facilities, offering self-containment and space to live and work, alongside technological innovations such as contactless entry, will bring the sector to the attention of many previously unaware of the benefits.
