Asterion Suites & Spa, the new universe of authetic luxury hospitality, just 15kms of Chania town

A 5 star complex of 67 design-led suites where guests feel like kings made of stars.

Unpretentious luxury as a natural extension of the enchanting landscape that surrounds it. Contemporary references intertwined with the deep roots of  Cretan traditions. Asterion Suites & Spa, on the beach of Pyrgos Psiloneros in Chania, Crete is the brand new new universe of authentic luxury accommodation.

The name derives directly from Asterion, the first king of Crete and husband of Europe born as our story suggests from the stardust of a supernova. It is no coincidence that at the brand new Asterion Suites & Spa, an honorary member of the Elegant Collection of Louis Hotels, the inspiration is self-luminous. Self-defining -and not redefining- the new rules of lifestyle luxury.

The 67 suites, the two restaurants and the sophisticated common areas are creating the pillars of a new hotel culture. The birth of a new travel philosophy sharing the same core values of Asterion – ethos, brilliance, human connection, all summarized in basic principle: A modern architectural approach that is also respectful towards local tradition and the surrounding area. Anthropocentric services provide the ultimate hospitality experience. Indoor spaces filled with natural light, flavors and experiences "fermented" by local tradition and hospitality brought together by the area’s unspoilt natural beauty.

On the beach of Pyrgos Psiloneros, located right on the verge of a magnificent bay and just 15 km from the picturesque city of  Chania, the hotel commits to the perpetual connectivity of indoors and outdoors, the blend of past and present. All the spaces feature contemporary elements linked to the area’s  tradition, exuding serenity, and refined simplicity, reminding that Zen is of Greek origin.

The linen fabrics and soft textures reflect the easy living intention of the hotel. The color palette does not deviate from the earth tones and combined  with the  lush Mediterranean flora  they create an atmosphere that not only interacts with the uniqueness of the landscape but also becomes part of it.

"Our main goal has always been to create an environment that people can escape from the ordinary. An accommodation that will interact with the visitor, but at the same help him escape  from the overwhelming version of mass tourism hospitality" says the architectural team of Asterion Suites & Spa.

The 67 suites of Asterion Suites & Spa -some with direct access to  the beach and others with a private pool- are spread out over  7.5 acres. All of them -with astronomy inspired names such as Cosmos, Planet, Universe and Kingdom – reflect the aesthetic rhythms of summer laziness. Flooded with natural light, they deify the Cretan chic attitude. The high quality bedding and mattresses create an autonomous cocoon where the mood of relaxation prevails. Luxurious toiletries and pleasant surprises, such as a Marshall music station, are just some of the hotel's treats.

The famous Cretan cuisine is served in the a la carte restaurant "35°". The farm to table and slow cooking philosophy as well as the carefully selected local produce from artisanal producers, amalgamate in order to create a new interpretation of the island’s traditional recipes. The interactive live cooking, is one of the numerous highlights the hotel offers to the guests.

At Asterion Suites & Spa we re-discover the essence of simplicity… In the flavors, the senses, the aesthetics… And this is what creates a valuable hospitality experience.
