Avvio marks further UK growth – new London base

Avvio’s software development team based at the company’s Irish HQ in Limerick has also been expanded with new starters Dean Maloney and Krzysztof Korpys, both developers, joining the company in at the beginning of the year.

Global technology provider Avvio has upsized its London offices and is making a number of new appointments as it continues its impressive global growth.

Located in the heart of the capital – nestled between Charing Cross and Leicester Square – Avvio’s new UK base is twice as big as the company’s previous residence and reflects its significant expansion in recent years as well as its ambitious plans for the future.

Over the past 18 months, Avvio has welcomed 29 new starters to its global team and is currently in the process of hiring five more team members. Recent appointments include senior business development executive Andrea Knezevic and creative designer Diyana Abbas Ali.

Avvio’s software development team based at the company’s Irish HQ in Limerick has also been expanded with new starters Dean Maloney and Krzysztof Korpys, both developers, joining the company in at the beginning of the year.

Dean and Krzysztof will work closely with the Avvio’s hotel customers and industry partners to create innovative new features for the company’s award-winning AI booking engine, enabling continued growth for hotel revenue and direct bookings.

Avvio has recently implemented more updates to its AI platform Allora with a new tool which allows potential guests to unlock discounts on available rates or access hidden rates.

Rate parity rules mean hoteliers often can’t offer rates lower than those available on third-party online travel agents (OTAs). However, this new feature on the booking engine means guests can sign up to be part of a closed user group to which the hotelier is free to offer additional incentives not otherwise be available to the general public.

This feature reflects Avvio’s commitment to providing its customers with the latest technology empowering them to personalise their offerings, bringing added value and driving guest loyalty.

Despite the uncertainty prevailing in the industry as a result of the political climate, Avvio continues to nurture a strong and growing UK customer base.

Speaking about the partnership with Avvio, David Collins, Great National Group co-founder and chief operating officer, said: “Avvio has been our digital technology partner for almost a decade, a partnership which has been central to enabling Great National become one of the UK and Ireland’s leading and fastest growing independent hotel brands.”

Robert Speirs, marketing manager at Cheval Residences, said: “Our arrangement with Avvio is a long-term partnership rather than a one-off delivery of a software package, which is a much more effective way of working. The support provided with digital campaigns and market intelligence is also invaluable.”

Following the move to the new London HQ and the company’s recent expansion, Avvio CEO and co-founder Frank Reeves commented: “We’re thrilled to be celebrating such significant company growth with the move to bigger offices in London. Avvio’s new London base demonstrates our commitment for supporting our customers across the UK in the future.

“It’s wonderful to have welcomed new talent to our teams, as well as our increased investment in software development which will bolster our position as a leading global hospitality technology provider.”
