Turtle Bay Resort undergoes transformation, prepares to reopen in Summer 2021.

THE WOODLANDS (HOUSTON), TEXAS - Benchmark, a global hospitality company, has named Robert Marusi chief commercial officer for Turtle Bay Resort, situated at the northern tip of Oahu’s legendary North Shore. The luxury resort is scheduled to reopen after a major, transformational renovation in summer 2021.

"It is such a pleasure to announce that Robert has joined the leadership team at Turtle Bay Resort,” said Ted Davis, chief marketing officer for Benchmark. “He brings extensive sales leadership experience and business acumen to his new role with us, having served in director-level positions for major properties and leading luxury brands coast to coast and offshore. Robert has also successfully held corporate sales positions for Marriott International, including the Marriott Maui, so this is a return to the Hawaiian Islands for him.”

Robert Marusi previously served as director of sales and marketing for The Resort at Pelican Hill, located in Newport Beach, California, and held the same position for the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club, a Fairmont-managed hotel in Hamilton, Bermuda.  Earlier, Mr. Marusi held the position of global account executive for Marriott International and also served in several positions of sales leadership for Marriott. Marusi attended Syracuse University and the University of California, Santa Barbara, studying Business Administration. He has a deep appreciation for the natural beauty and rich culture of Oahu’s North Shore and is excited to be a part of it.

Spanning nearly 1,300 acres of beaches, gardens, and still-wild public spaces, Turtle Bay Resort is the ideal escape for travelers seeking to experience the soothing and captivating magic of Oahu’s North Shore community. Turtle Bay Resort has a longstanding reputation as the go-to Hawaiian destination for world-class surfing, championship golf courses, locally-inspired food and beverage offerings, and sustainably-minded wellness programs at their award-winning spa. With an ethos centered on the concept of Aloha ?Aina, a love of and nurturing care for the land, Turtle Bay Resort’s hotly anticipated transformation will coincide with the launch of new nature-oriented and biocentric programming for locals and visitors alike.
