Best sports bars in NYC 2022 for real sports fans

With that in mind, here are 10 great sports bars in New York City – which are open for business as of December 2021, where you can be sure to watch your favorite teams – just be sure to bring proof of vaccination due to NYC COVID prevention measures.

Pre-COVID New York City had nearly as many small family-run sports bars as cabs, or so it seemed.

But like so much of Americana, the pandemic has turned the Big Apple on its head, shutting iconic sports bars such as Foley’s, and leaving countless others scrambling.

Professional leagues and even colleges have responded to COVID by setting up strict guidelines to keep players and fans safe. And many fans are desperate for a return to normalcy, no matter what that normalcy looks like. Online sports betting in New York is expected to take off in 2022, so fans are chomping at the bit to place a buck or two on their favorite teams – and then see how the chips fall.
