Amanda Lynch and Michael Newman.

BSHS names Amanda Lynch Vice President of Revenue Management, promotes Michael Newman to Corporate Director of Sales & Marketing.

UNIONDALE, N.Y. – Officials of Blue Sky Hospitality (BSHS), one of the leading and fastest growing hotel owner/operators in the United States, announced that it has expanded the bench strength of its corporate team by naming Amanda Lynch vice president of revenue management and promoting Michael Newman to corporate director of sales & marketing.

“With a combined 43 years of hospitality experience between them, Amanda and Michael are ideal candidates to help lead Blue Sky Hospitality Solutions as we continue to grow our portfolio of well-branded hotels in a variety of segments across the United States,” said Naveen Shah, CEO, BSHS. “Amanda has more than demonstrated her capabilities in her former role where she oversaw revenue management for 12 hotels across eight major markets, including Chicago, Seattle, San Jose, Anaheim and Atlanta.  Michael performed similarly in his most recent role as director of sales and marketing at the 305-room Hilton Long Island where he led a team to achieve revenue increases of over a million dollars from the previous year. Both are welcome additions to our corporate team.”

In her new role as vice president of revenue management, Lynch provides direction to the on-property revenue management team in order to maximize revenue and increase market share through the areas of pricing, distribution, revenue optimization, digital marketing and analysis. She has held numerous sales & marketing roles in addition to revenue management and has experience in all major hotel brands. Prior to joining BSHS, Lynch was corporate director of marketing and revenue management with The Dow Hotel Company. She received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Charleston in West Virginia and a M.A. in Organizational Leadership from Lewis University in Illinois. Also, Lynch has completed numerous revenue management trainings and is a member of HSMAI, as well as a Certified Revenue Management Executive (CRME). She has participated in both HSMAI’s Sales and Marketing Executive roundtables, as well as their Chief Revenue Officer roundtables. In March 2019, she earned a certificate in Hospitality Digital Marketing from Cornell University.

Newman has worked for multiple hotel management companies, including 11-plus years with Hyatt Hotels, as well as stints with Millennium Hotels, Magna Hospitality, Interstate Hotels and Melia Hotels. Over the course of his career, he has worked as director of sales and marketing at such distinguished hotels as the Hyatt Regency Jersey City, Grand Hyatt New York, The Millennium UN Plaza and INSIDE New York, among others. Newman currently is vice president of the Long Island Hospitality Association, where he is committed to raising a scholarship fund for local hospitality students. He also has volunteered in charity events for Hydrocephalus Association and Long Island Fight for Charity. Newman received his Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from Johnson & Wales University.
