British Airways flies from Tegel to London City Airport

British Airways is now offering 16 direct flights a week from Berlin-Tegel to the conveniently located London City Airport (LCY).

British Airways is now offering 16 direct flights a week from Berlin-Tegel to the conveniently located London City Airport (LCY). Flight times are tailored to the requirements of business and holiday travellers. A morning, afternoon and evening flight is offered every day from Monday to Friday. One evening flight is offered on Sundays. The route is served by an Embraer jet with seats for 98 passengers. Flying time is around one hour and 45 minutes. British Airways is also offering a new flight to Stansted Airport (north-east of London) with return flights to Berlin on Sundays.

With up to eleven London flights a day – London City, Heathrow and Stansted – we are complying with demand to and from Berlin. Other destinations such as Scotland or the Isle of Man can be easily and swiftly reached from London. Furthermore, business travellers to the USA can seamlessly transfer in London City for our all-business flights to New York JFK”, explains Katja Selle, Regional Commercial Manager Central and East Europe, British Airways.

The new direct connection offered by British Airways is very interesting for business travellers in particular. Travel time from Berlin-Tegel to the centre of London is significantly reduced. We wish our partner British Airways pleasant flights and outstanding capacity utilisation”, claims Karsten Muhlenfeld, CEO Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH.

We are delighted that these two lively and creative major cities are linked even more closely by the new route between Berlin-Tegel and London City Airport. London City Airport is the only airport in London which is located within the metropolitan area. From there, passengers can easily reach London’s financial district, famous sights and the popular East End. Check-in and boarding at the airport are fast and efficient. Accordingly, London City Airport is ideal as a gate between the two cities”, emphasises Matthew Hall, Chief Commercial Officer, London City Airport.
