Following more than a year of restrictions, 61% of Brits are ready to carpe diem and live life to the fullest according to new research from Virgin Red, Virgin’s new rewards club.
As the school holidays commence, 44% of Brits told Virgin Red they are feeling more adventurous than they were before the pandemic and 44% are more likely to say yes to a trip away. 39% also said they feel more spontaneous than they did at the beginning of 2020 and 37% said they are more likely to say yes to new opportunities.
To help Brits make up for lost time, Virgin Red has partnered with one of the world’s leading digital travel companies, Booking.com to reward holidaymakers. Anyone booking a UK staycation or European city break through Virgin Red and Booking.com, will receive 12 points for every £1 spent on accommodation - a market-leading loyalty rate for holiday bookings.
Existing Booking.com customers get the best of both worlds – they’ll be able to access their Genius benefits, as well as being able to earn Virgin Points.
Charlotte Sjoberg at Virgin Red, comments: “Our research shows that lots of people are raring to get back out there. More than ever, they are ready to ‘say yes’ to holidays, days out and new experiences, so we are really excited that our partnership with Booking.com will speed up making those dreams a reality for our members.”
You don’t have to be an existing Virgin customer to benefit from Virgin Red. Anyone can sign up to Virgin Red and start earning Virgin Points on their everyday shopping. Rewards come in all shapes and sizes from the small things that make the everyday better like a sausage roll from as little as 200 points or cinema tickets, to bigger extraordinary experiences like spaceport tours or watching a live concert from the exclusive Virgin Red Room at Manchester’s AO Arena.
