The 100-room hotel will feature a range of high-style amenities, including two outdoor swimming pools (opening 2018/2019), two cocktail bar/lounges, and a rooftop with an active line of events.

Tel Aviv – Brown Hotels announced its largest property to date, The Lighthouse, located in a towering and iconic Brutalist architecture-style property in Tel Aviv's thriving center and just a few blocks from the Mediterranean Sea, softly opening in September 2018.

The 100-room hotel will feature a range of high-style amenities, including two outdoor swimming pools (opening 2018/2019), two cocktail bar/lounges, and a rooftop with an active line of events. The Lighthous is not named for its aesthetic but rather for its desired effect: to be a source of energy and light in an revitalizing corner of Tel Aviv.

Brown Hotels is a boutique hotel brand with roots in Tel Aviv, conceived by two native Israelis, Leon Avigad & Nitzan Perry with partner Nir Waizman. Their properties, which include four hotels in Tel Aviv, two in Jerusalem, and one in Croatia, are small hotels that pack a big design punch. The Lighthouse, explores a new sense of scale for the brand. The building alone, an iconic former office tower built in the Brutalist-influenced 1970's, towers over the Tel Aviv skyline and offers sweeping views of the White City and the Mediterranean Sea.

Inside, the hotel continues to think big, with two nightclubs, two pools, a full service gym and spa, a sprawling 18th-floor rooftop and a conference/banqueting center. A partnership with ARIA, Tel Aviv's biggest name in events, further offers a good time, while moody music, dim lighting and a rich color-scheme do their part in amplifying the dramatics. Guests check in at a hybrid reception-bar area, where bartenders shake up cocktails for arriving guests, setting the tone for the experience that awaits.

"We are entering new territory with The Lighthouse; it's a high energy hotel with a big, thumping heartbeat," says Brown Hotels founder Leon Avigad. "We are creating a bit of a wonderland within its walls, where a certain young and fun-seeking guest with a fine pallet for design can find everything they're looking for. If they still want more, they're in luck: The Lighthouse is two minutes from the Mediterranean promenade, five minutes from the Carmel Market and ten minutes from Rothschild Boulevard."

Accommodations at The Lighthouse range from 22-27 square-meters, making them much more spacious than the average city room. Twelve terrace rooms offer expansive balconies with outdoor jacuzzis, made private by a natural fence of lush fauna.  Other rooms offer obstruction-free vistas of the Mediterranean Sea coastline, which is less than a meter away, while Urban-facing rooms feature the best panoramic city views in Tel Aviv.  Twelve Junior and Executive Suites feature separate seating areas and a slew of in-room amenities. In a phase two of development, The Lighthouse will open another two floors, and an additional 60 guest rooms, bringing the total room count to 160.

Brown Hotels is known for its high design sensibility, and The Lighthouse is no different. The hotel's lush interior was the collaborative work of Brown Hotels' Leon Avigad and architect Nestor Sandbank.  Certain features, like the lobby's iconic Library seating area, are trademark Brown Hotels signatures. Playful accents like a birdcage swing in the lobby and antlers mounted on the wall stay true to the Brown Hotels promise to never take itself too seriously.  Deep and dark tones of navy and emerald, along with barely-lit passageways, set a mood for seduction, while pops of marigold and flamingo pink offer thoughtful notes of contrast.

Food and beverage is a priority at The Lighthouse, where guests will enjoy a fine dining experience at the hotel's 5th-floor dairy and fish restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch and an a-la cart dinner. Breakfast is a known highlight across Brown Hotels properties, and at The Lighthouse guests will be greeted with freshly made coffee, pressed juices, an array of local salads, smoked fish, and of course ones choice of eggs including the local signature "Shakshuka". The hotel will house the much-anticipated Haiku Bar by local events leader, ARIA, which will serve craft cocktails and tapas style plates. At the stylish sky bar, guests will enjoy bottle service and local cuisine at luxurious and spacious banquet seating. A range of food and beverage offerings will also be made available in the hotel's banquet and conference complex that accommodates up to 400 people in its well-appointed and stylishly-designed meeting rooms.
