Brown Hotels to open new hotel at Ben Gurion Airport, Tel Aviv, Israel

The Boutique Hotel Collection Has Won the Bid to Build the New Development.

TEL AVIV – Tel Aviv-born, boutique hotel collection Brown Hotels has won the bid to build a new hotel at Ben Gurion Airport in partnership with Aman, an Israeli technology company. The new hotel is set to boast 200 spacious rooms, a conference center, gym, spa and bar, and restaurant, and will be situated next to Terminal 3 to serve those traveling in and out of Tel Aviv.

Together with its partner, Brown Hotels will receive a NIS 40 million grant (approximately $11.48 million USD)  from the Airports Authority, along with an undisclosed government grant to build the property which will be designed and managed by Brown Hotels for the next 25 years, according to the tender agreement.

It is anticipated that the new hotel will be built by the DBOT method (Design, Build, Operate & Transfer) where the contractor will manage every aspect of development from planning, building, and hotel operating, including check-in and hotel-airport transfers for guests.

The hotel will be built over a 7.5-acre plot adjacent to the western building at Terminal 3, conveniently situated by the train station. The tender specifications include easements and grants to improve the economic consideration, following the decline of the two previous tenders.

Ben Pasternak, CEO, and owner of Aman (technology company) said: "As the Aman group invests in real estate all over the world, it's only natural that we wanted to deepen our hold on the local market. We're excited to be collaborating with Brown Hotels, after searching for a quality yet young and creative brand to partner with – it's a perfect fit".

Leon Avigad, founder of Brown Hotels said "The new hotel at Ben Gurion Airport will not only serve as a travel solution but as a destination in itself with the gym, spa, restaurant, and bar, offering far beyond most airport hotels. Like the other hotels in the collection, this new property will exude the full, Brown Hotels character and first-rate facilities".

Brown Hotels, which already runs the spa at the El Al King David Lounge, is set to open six new properties in Israel over the coming year, with the new Ben Gurion Hotel projected to open in 2024
