Chase and UATP will make it easy for airlines to accept Chase Pay

Starting next year, airlines serving customers in the U.S. can make checkout easier for Chase customers.

WILMINGTON, DEL. and WASHINGTON – UATP – the airline-owned payment network – and Chase, are making it easier for airlines to accept Chase Pay as a payment and checkout option in their own apps and websites, by enabling a network-wide connection. Chase is the leading card issuer in the country and has relationships with half of all households in the U.S.

Chase Pay is a mobile app and digital engagement platform for all Chase customers with an eligible personal Chase Visa debit or credit card that allows them to pay online, in app and at merchant locations, quickly, easily and securely.

"Making checkout easier with Chase Pay will make it more convenient for our customers to book and enjoy travel," said Jennifer Roberts, head of digital products and Chase Pay at Chase.

"UATP works diligently to meet the traveling customer's demand for new payment types and rewards. Adding Chase Pay both meets that demand and expands the UATP Network base," stated Ralph Kaiser, President and CEO, UATP.  "We've had requests for Chase Pay from our carrier Members as well, and look forward to successfully delivering these capabilities through our partnership with Chase."

Chase customers today can use Chase Pay to checkout out at many places, including airport restaurants and shops, gas stations, parking garages, retailers and grocery stores. Customers can use all of their eligible Chase Cards, using their existing Chase credentials for security and convenience.
