Christian Ortlepp’s role fortifies Simpleview’s continued investment in global meetings and its growing team in Europe, where the company now employs 90 people – nearly one fourth of its 400 employees.
TUCSON, AZ U.S. – Simpleview welcomes Christian Ortlepp in October 2019 as Regional Director – EMEA, leading new business development from Switzerland. Ortlepp brings nearly ten years of experience in the meetings, events and tradeshow management industries. He has served as director of the Dusseldorf convention bureau since its founding in 2017.
"We feel very lucky to have identified Christian after an expansive search for the right mix of experience, skill and personality to drive growth in Europe, the Middle East and Africa," said Simpleview President Richard Reasons. In March, Caroline Dawson joined the company as Business Development Manager for Europe, based in South Wales. Dawson works closely with U.K.-based Tourism Media, which Simpleview merged with in 2018.
Simpleview currently works with more than a thousand clients across six continents, including 200 customers across Europe: Convention Bureau Italia, Innovation Norway, Meet Cambridge, Visit Oslo and Meet Reykjavik, to name a few. In addition to expanding support for European customers, Simpleview regularly sponsors European tradeshows and is a strategic partner of ICCA, IMEX and European Cities Marketing.
