MORRISTOWN, N.J. – CIE Tours, the premier tour operator for vacations throughout Ireland and Britain, has introduced Jeannie Bean as its business development manager in Florida, and tapped Sheila Rowert to head its sales operations in Northern California and the Pacific Northwest.
The company’s CEO, Elizabeth Crabill, remarked, “We have been fortunate to have Jeannie piloting our North West Coast sales for the past year and a half and have the utmost confidence that under her leadership, our representation in the very important Florida market will flourish as well.” Crabill added, “I’m also thrilled to welcome Sheila to the CIE Tours team. Her vast experience and the relationships she’s nurtured in the Northwest will serve our valued travel advisor partners very well while growing our business in the region.”
Jeannie Bean
A 30-year travel industry veteran, Bean previously represented CIE Tours as director of sales for the North West Coast. Before joining CIE Tours in 2018, Bean served as business development manager in the Pacific Northwest for both Playa Hotels & Resorts (since 2015) and Travel Bound (since 2012). She has also managed regional sales for Brendan Worldwide Vacations, Creative Leisure and Alamo Rent A Car. Bean launched her career as a Walt Disney World tour guide.
“Working with CIE Tours has been the highlight of my career,” said Bean, “I’m excited by the opportunity to apply my skills and passion for travel – and for the CIE Tours guest experience – to a new market and look forward to building relationships with our dedicated travel advisor partners in Florida.”
In addition to building a highly successful career in the travel industry, Bean savors her role as mother not only to a son and daughter but to her “two four-legged fur babies” as well.
Sheila Rowert
California native Rowert brings more than 20 years of travel industry to her new position. She joins CIE Tours from All About TOURS, where she served for six years as area sales manager for Northern California and Northern Nevada. For four years prior, she was a business development manager for Carnival Cruise Lines. She has also managed regional sales for Pleasant Holidays and handled business-to-business sales for Runaway Tours.
“The aspect of my career that I have always valued most is building strong relationships, listening to customers and determining how to best meet their needs,” said Rowert, who credits her father with her lifelong love of travel. “Representing CIE Tours is an exciting new chapter for me – an opportunity to do what I do best for one of the best and most respected operators in the business.”
Vicky is the co-founder of TravelDailyNews Media Network where she is the Editor-in Chief. She is also responsible for the daily operation and the financial policy. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Tourism Business Administration from the Technical University of Athens and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Wales.
She has many years of both academic and industrial experience within the travel industry. She has written/edited numerous articles in various tourism magazines.
