City Sightseeing re-launches operations across major city-break destinations

City Sightseeing Moscow.

Global sightseeing tours hit the streets of Europe.

As the world eases out of lockdown and prepares to travel again, City Sightseeing, the In-destination Experience Supplier, is the first global sightseeing operator to restart operations in key destinations around the world.

As the UK Government is set to announce ‘air corridors’, which will allow British holidaymakers the opportunity to jet off for a well-earned holiday with friends and family, City Sightseeing is all set to welcome Britons, having resumed operations in some our favourite city-break destinations such as Berlin, Dublin and Sharjah, a city which is fast becoming one of the most popular in the UAE.

This month, operations resumed in the beautiful cities of Beirut, Moscow and St Petersburg. Travellers will be able to hop on board in Moscow for a chance to see Alexander Garden, Red Square and University Square, or join us in St Petersburg see the array of beautiful cathedrals or take a stroll around the Summer Gardens.

July will see the return of City Sightseeing tours in European favourites such as Dublin, Belfast and the sun-kissed island of Malta.

City Sightseeing also plans to resume operations in New York next month.

City Sightseeing has adopted the health and safety protocols as advised by each destination’s Government. Protocols will include social distancing, use of gloves and face masks, and frequent disinfecting of handles and seats on any City Sightseeing equipment.

City Sightseeing are advising customers to check the health and safety measures in place at the destination they are visiting, to ensure they are well prepared and equipped.

In addition to the return of activity, City Sightseeing sends a message of confidence to the industry, announcing the plan to open three new and exciting destinations by the end of 2020.

This will allow the brand to expand its presence in Asia, one of tourism's fastest-growing markets, and Europe, by launching in one of the touristic capitals of the continent, and feature over 100 destinations in 35 countries on six continents in its portfolio.

Enrique Ybarra, President and CEO of City Sightseeing, said: "COVID-19 stopped the world and we are all very affected by the terrible consequences it is having on people's health. It is encouraging to see that some countries are managing to reduce infections, allowing them to return to business. We are happy to announce the return of a number of operations, to which some more will be added in the coming weeks."
