Located on tranquil Paradise Street, Courtyard Oxford City Centre provides a peaceful setting within the heart of the world-famous bustling city.

OXFORD, UK – Marriott International today announced the opening of Courtyard by Marriott Oxford City Centre. Tucked away between waterways and boasting panoramic views of Oxford’s spectacular architecture from the rooftop terrace, the 140-room hotel is perfectly located in the heart of the historic city.

The city’s vibrancy is ideal for our trailblazing and intuitive guests” said John Licence, Vice President, Premium and Select Brands, Marriott International Europe. “The hotel couldn’t be better located for discovering Oxford, sitting in the midst of the world-renowned university city.”

Located on tranquil Paradise Street, Courtyard Oxford City Centre provides a peaceful setting within the heart of the world-famous bustling city. Cultural sites such as the historic Oxford Castle and Prison as well as The Ashmolean – the University of Oxford's museum of art and archaeology – lie within walking distance, alongside historic pubs and the city’s growing restaurant scene.

Designed by Urban Innovations, the neutral colour palette is interspersed with splashes of warmer blues, yellows and oranges as well as contemporary artworks reflecting the local area. The lobby offers engaging technology and inviting, flexible spaces to work and relax, making it easy for guests to pursue both their professional and personal passions whilst on the road.

Each of the 140 high-tech, modern guestrooms offer Chrome cast technology, 49-inch televisions and high-speed wifi. A selection of guestrooms provide stunning castle views, whilst others offer views across the internal courtyard. For business travellers, Courtyard Oxford City Centre includes one 14 square metre meeting room.

Guests can re-energise at The Kitchen & Bar offering healthy fare, whilst the relaxing, contemporary bar is perfect to unwind with a drink. The peaceful rooftop terrace provides sweeping views across the city, from the castle spires down to the cobbled streets.

Owned and operated by Dominvs Group, Chief Operating Officer Sean Brookes explains: “We are so pleased to be able to partner with Marriott International to bring over 140 much needed hotel rooms to Oxford City Centre. We have worked closely with Marriott International, local communities and the council to ensure the hotel is sympathetic to its surroundings and adds value to the city, whilst maximising the return on our investment.”

The addition of Courtyard by Marriott Oxford City Centre brings the brand’s footprint in Europe to over 60 hotels. Further openings are anticipated over the next couple of years in key growth markets including Germany, UK and France, as well as new markets including Armenia and Iceland.
