Cruise Baltic makes it easier for cruise lines to plan in times of uncertainty

To help cruise lines to a smoother planning, Cruise Baltic has recently launched a COVID-19 site that includes all the special measurements taken by ports in the Baltic Sea.

The pandemic has greatly affected the entire cruise industry. As the world is now slowly reopening and we again have opportunity to travel, Cruise Baltic wants to make it easier for cruise lines to re-visit the region and once again be able to welcome cruise-hungry guests in the best possible way.

With the pandemic, the need for planning has become greater than usual. To make it easier for cruise lines to plan their operations, Cruise Baltic has created a COVID-19 site on cruisebaltic.com, where you can quickly familiarise yourself with the special measurements at each of the 32 ports in the Cruise Baltic network. Here cruise lines can find port management plans, the applicable health protocols, and general COVID-19 information/measurements at the ports.

With this tool, we hope that we can help cruise lines to a smoother and easier planning of their operations in the Baltic Sea and that it in general will be easier for ships to navigate in an environment that is currently characterized by uncertainty and confusion,” says Claus Bødker, Director of Cruise Baltic.

As the situation in the Baltic Sea is dynamic and restrictions are constantly eased or tightened, Cruise Baltic hopes for cruise lines to see the COVID-19 site as a go-to for the most recent information, as all partners are updating their documents as changes occur.
