Davidson Hospitality Group appoints Staci Patton as Creative Director

Award-winning hospitality design leader will create value through operational design and unique storytelling.

ATLANTA – Hospitality management company Davidson Hospitality Group announces the appointment of Staci Patton as Creative Director. In this new role on the Design & Construction team, she will collaborate with owners, investors, and operators to creatively define all elements of the guest experience, bringing innovation and experimentation to establish an emotional connection between physical space and the essence of the service atmosphere. She will assess existing and new hotel opportunities and prepare a design vision for experience blending placemaking strategies, identity, art direction and design.

Patton brings 16 years of experience in the hospitality design industry, focused on independent boutique and lifestyle hotels, restaurants, adaptive reuse, and repositioning projects domestically and internationally. Notably, she founded and led a hospitality interiors studio as Principal and Hospitality Director at DLR Group and received the distinguished honor of Designer of the Year in 2021 by Boutique Design Magazine. Recently, Patton’s work extended to strategic brand design development for Hilton and Sonesta Hotels with new hotels in the pipeline. Patton has designed hotels for some of the leading hoteliers in the industry and her work has been featured in editorials such as Forbes, Condé Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure, Metropolis, Dwell, Hospitality Design, and Interior Design magazine. Patton holds a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Florida State University.

“In addition to the great renovations and TSA team that we have always had at Davidson, we are excited to be adding an internal creative talent to work alongside our owners and design partners on truly re-imagining spaces to maximize ROI in keeping with our core value of ‘Creating Value in All We Do,’” said Davidson Hospitality Group Chief Executive Officer & President Thom Geshay. “With out-of-the-box thinking, applied expertise and design acumen, Staci will deliver a design vision that accounts for known constraints, opportunities, and in-person observations that will ultimately elevate the quality of our hotels.”

In the newly created role of Creative Director, Patton will also engage with professional design consultants, such as branding, architecture and interior design teams hired to complete the provided vision. Embracing strong collaboration, leadership, and organizational skills to aid teams in achieving industry leading concepts, she will be at the forefront of ensuring that leading-edge functions, “status quo” disruptors and other innovative strategies are advocated for with hired design consultants.

“I have always known Davidson to have a fantastic reputation on quality of its hotels, the experiences they provide and their focus on quality over quantity,” said Creative Director Staci Patton. “Each of Davidson’s areas of expertise are highlighted by their unique individualism, but the magic is where they merge to work together in the very layered choreography of delivering a hotel. I was drawn to Davidson’s grounded character of warm hospitality, humble yet bold attitude towards growth, and genuine respect for each other. I am so excited to learn more about the strengths of Davidson’s experienced team and find ways to help their offerings shine in our hotels we create together.”
