BIRMINGHAM, MI - Birmingham’s newest luxury property, the 151-room Daxton Hotel, announces its return as an independently owned and operated luxury property along with the appointment of its new Managing Director, Raj Radke. Since its opening in April 2021, Daxton Hotel has come to be praised and reckoned as a modern vision of Birmingham luxury brought to life by local entrepreneur and lifelong resident Mark Mitchell, who named the hotel after his son. Now fully owned and operated by Woodward Brown Ventures LLC, a subsidiary of Mitchell Family Office, the hotel and its signature restaurant Madam and the stylish Geode Bar continue to be the trend setters and provide genuine and meaningful service experiences to its discerning worldly-wise, well-traveled, well-heeled guests.
“It’s been incredible to see all of the success we’ve had since opening in April 2021,” said Daxton Hotel Owner Mark Mitchell. “From its inception we at Daxton have pledged to bring an elevated hotel product to the Birmingham community and beyond, one that sets a new luxury standard for hospitality. With Raj at the helm and leading the team, we anticipate continued growth and success in amplifying the Daxton brand on a national scale through this new chapter in its history and legacy.”
Raj takes the helm bringing 20 plus years of global luxury hospitality experience and will work closely with the ownership and the Daxton team to further elevate the guest experience and introduce programming and activations that celebrate the essence of this iconic hotel and the affluent Birmingham community it adorns. As the new Managing Director, Raj will oversee all aspects of this luxurious outpost including daily operations and continued revenue and reputation growth strategies. To add an extra and elevated touch of refinement to the already impressive property, Raj will lead the team in establishing a new training program, luxury hospitality standards and align Daxton with the expectations as established and set forth by Forbes Travel Guide.
“I’m delighted to be joining the team,” said Managing Director Raj Radke. “I see great potential for Daxton to be the destination authority of luxury hospitality in the Midwest. We will strive to elevate the guest experience through collaborations with like-minded luxury brand partners and implement special touches that will set a new bar for high end luxury boutique hotels around the globe. After all, in legit luxury space, guests may spend from their wallets, they are always buying from their hearts and that requires a perfect marriage between high tech and high touch. Daxton is daring and dynamic in its approach and has quickly become the darling of Birmingham and beyond.”
Prior to joining Daxton Hotel’s team, Raj spent the past two decades working at some of the world’s most renowned & revered brands including Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, and The Luxury Collection Brand. Raj promises to use his experience and expertise to create a culture of elevated & enhanced engagements at Daxton: with its associates, its guests, and its community alike.
