Dimitrios Buhalis (Bournemouth University): “There is no Overtourism – only badly managed tourism”

Dimitrios Buhalis, Professor of eTourism and Director of eTourism Lab at Bournemouth University explains to TravelDailyNews that overtourism is a simplistic term that media has been using to describe overcrowding. He suggests that strategic tourism management and planning and smart methodologies should develop comprehensive strategies for cocreating value for tourists, residents and businesses.
