Elite places to visit – end of summer 2020

It’s still highly advisable to check up on travel restrictions before booking anything at all, and given the current economic climate, we would advise booking travel where you can get a full refund if any lockdown measures prevent you from visiting.

It would be fair to say that 2020 has been a rather restrictive year. Many of us have been confined to our houses due to lockdown restrictions, and barely any of us have been able to travel internationally. We haven’t been able to go on vacations due to stricter border control, and let’s be honest, many of us are now ready to try and travel abroad to have some relaxation and fun. In fact – thousands of us are absolutely desperate for this following the misery of the last few months.

So, with all of this said, we figured it’s time to produce an article that we can all have some fun with. We’ve put together a piece that shows some of the most luxurious vacations to travel to in Europe if you get the chance. These places are beautiful and full of culture – but what are these places? Let’s get into it.

Monte Carlo
Few places on this earth are more glamorous than Monte Carlo. This remote little place on the cusp of the Meditteranean is home to the wealthiest 1% in the world, so of course, there are some pretty spectacular things to behold. It’s home to one of the most amazing casinos, luxury yachts, million-dollar cars, and hey – the views aren’t too bad either! Monte Carlo has beautiful weather during the summer months, and even in the winter, things are still pretty warm.

As is the case with any luxury location, it can be a bit pricey to stay in Monte Carlo. However, if you choose to stay over the border in France, things can be much cheaper, then you can simply travel in on a day to day basis. Don’t let the price tag turn you off though, for Monte Carlo is a place that everyone should visit at least once in their lives.

Venice
Monte Carlo may be a place full of glamour and immense wealth, but there isn’t another place in Europe as romantic as Venice. As you may already know, Venice is the town that is built on water in Italy – literally. The main mode of transport around Venice is by a gondola, the traditional boat which has been used there since the 11th century! It’s the perfect spot to sit back and relax as your ‘cab driver’ shows you the ins and outs of this incredible place. Just like Monte Carlo, if you want to stay in Venice things can get expensive, but venture a few miles away from the tourist spots, and you will find affordable accommodations.

Another great thing about going to Venice right now is that it is very cheap for flights and hotels. You can get some awesome offers as the Italian government is trying to boost tourism by subsidizing flights and other packages. So, if you’ve ever wanted to visit this amazing town, now could be a good time.

French Riviera
The French Riviera is simply sublime. Interestingly, Monte Carlo actually falls within this region too, but there’s so much more than this. You can find places such as St Tropez, Nice, Antibes, Cannes, and others. Not only does the French Riviera has incredible weather, it is also home to some incredible cuisine, delicious wine, and above all, fantastic places. It really is the ‘go-to’ place for wealthy people looking to escape the harsh winters of Northern Europe, and the architecture in some of these places is also terrific.

Another great element to the French Riviera is that its location is perfect to go and explore other areas of Southern France, and indeed Europe. It’s only a short drive to head into Italy, and you are at the very foot of the Alps by staying in this region.

Before you go
These are all truly breathtaking places, and all of them are spots that you absolutely have to check out at one point. While all of this is really exciting, we are still not out of the woods with the Coronavirus, unfortunately. It’s still highly advisable to check up on travel restrictions before booking anything at all, and given the current economic climate, we would advise booking travel where you can get a full refund if any lockdown measures prevent you from visiting.

If you do manage to get to these places, however, we wish you a great time!
