Emirates amends schedule from Pulkovo Airport to accommodate more connections via Dubai

The new schedule will allow passengers travelling to the largest city of the United Arab Emirates to spend there an extra day, arriving early in the morning rather than late at night.

Emirates has amended the winter schedule on St. Petersburg-Dubai route. The new timetable went into effect on October 29, 2017. It will allow even easier connections in Dubai to a wide range of leisure and business destinations served by Emirates: such as the Maldives, Thailand, and Sri Lanka.

This winter season, from October 29, 2017 through March 24, 2018, EK176 will depart from Pulkovo International Airport at 11:45 PM and arrive in Dubai International Airport the next day at 6:55 AM. The return flight, EK175 will depart from Dubai at 3:30 PM and arrive in St. Petersburg at 9:45 PM.

The new schedule will allow passengers travelling to the largest city of the United Arab Emirates to spend there an extra day, arriving early in the morning rather than late at night. Moreover, since February 1, 2017, Russian tourists can receive a free UAE visa upon their arrival in Dubai. This allows travelers more opportunities to explore the city, and take advantage of the late afternoon departure from Dubai back to Saint Petersburg.

In the winter season of 2017-2018, Emirates will operate daily flights from Pulkovo to Dubai on wide-body Boeing 777 aircraft in a three-class configuration with: 8 Private Suites in First Class, 42 flat-bed seats in Business Class and 310 comfortable seats in Economy Class. In all cabins passengers will enjoy access to Wi-Fi and over 2,500 channels of films, music and games, more than 60 in Russian, through ice Digital Widescreen, Emirates’ award-winning inflight entertainment system.

From January to September 2017, Emirates carried a total of 114,000 passengers on St. Petersburg-Dubai route, which represents a 14% increase year on year. Emirates has operated scheduled service to St. Petersburg since November 1, 2011. Since then, the airline has provided services on the route to over 800,000 passengers.

Founded in 1985, Emirates is a Dubai based airline and its global network serves 155 destinations in 83 countries across six continents using world’s biggest fleets of Airbus A380s and Boeing 777s. The airline is renowned for its luxurious amenities, regionally inspired gourmet cuisine, award-winning in-flight entertainment system – ice – and unmatched hospitality provided by its iconic multilingual Cabin Crew have made Emirates one of the world’s most recognized airline brands.
