eRevMax publishes Traveller Sentiment Barometer

Infographic tracks trends and shifts in travel intentions.

LONDON – Hotel distribution technology leader, eRevMax, conducted a social media survey to gauge traveller sentiment and understand the key trends and considerations influencing travel decisions.

Data from the polls indicate that 7 out of 10 people are willing to travel over the next 6 months. Focus is mostly on domestic leisure trips with 86% considering health and hygiene protocols being the topmost factor while booking hotel stays. 54% prefer flexible booking policies, with only 9% perceiving competitive room rates to be the deciding factor.

The infographic reflects traveller confidence which influences their trip planning and booking choices. 66% respondents prefer to stay at hotels compared to B&Bs and home rentals, while 7 out of 10 are keen on planning longer trips. Domestic tourism is set to play a vital role in rebuilding economies worldwide, and it is time for hotels to prepare strategies for attracting these travellers and creating new experiences for them.

eRevMax continues to provide seamless distribution connectivity and business intelligence solutions to thousands of hotels worldwide. It is constantly monitoring travel and reservation trends across geographies to help hotels rebuild their distribution strategies.
