European hostel chain Dream Hostel is opening brand-new hostel in Prague

A 19th-century building in the historical center of Prague near Wenceslas Square, has been completely renovated for the new hostel.

The biggest hostel chain in Eastern Europe, Dream Hostels is opening a hostel complete with a backyard in the center of Prague. A planned December opening will allow this brand-new hostel to host thousands of travelers who will come to celebrate the holidays and the arrival of a fresh new year in the Czech capital.

A 19th-century building in the historical center of Prague near Wenceslas Square, has been completely renovated for the new hostel. The stylish and modern interior was the brain child of Tereza Barnard of Tinquer, a Czech born, UK based design company. Guests will feel at home surrounded by natural materials such as wood and stone, along with handmade furniture and quirky design elements.

The hostel will boast 34 rooms with a total of 202 beds. Don’t be fooled by a conventional idea of what a hostel should be, Dream Hostel Prague will have 40% private rooms to accommodate families or small groups of friends travelling together.

Being in the historical city center means guests can experience Prague in all its glory, from exploring old town, new town and museums to seeing some great street art. Let’s not forget about the thrumming nightlife which is walking distance from the front door. If none of this holds appeal then chilling out in the hostel all day is also a lot of fun.

There is a funky common room to meet fellow travelers as well as a co-working space if you have a deadline to meet instead. Mates Cafe is located inside the hostel to provide you with breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and drinks. If fresh air and peace and quiet is what you need, head out back to the garden and kick back in the designer chairs or sit on the deck, drink in hand.

If you want to get out and explore more than Prague, the main railway station is walking distance as well as tram and metro stops very close by. You can’t go wrong at Dream Hostel Prague.

“Our main goal was to create a hostel for budget travelers which has a friendly atmosphere which you expect from every hostel but also to match the comfort level of a hotel. We also have a co-working space for freelancers or anyone else who needs to do a bit of work as well as common areas, a cafe in the lobby and a garden so people can mingle and make new friends” says Ievgen Lavreniuk, co-owner of the Dream Hostel network.
