Excite Holidays wins Travel Weekly’s Wholesaler Of The Year Award for the second year in a row

Company also unveiled new portal, “the most significant system improvement in its history”.

Congratulations are in order for Excite Holidays who are celebrating their latest victory in Travel Weekly’s The Travel Awards 2019

The announcement was made at The Venue in the Alexandria, Sydney on Friday 29th November, to more than 600 travel industry professionals. And the victory was twice as nice, with Excite Holidays taking out the award for the second consecutive year!

With Travel Weekly receiving more than 400 entries, the award was a celebration of Excite Holiday’s growing commercial success among its peers.

“At Excite Holidays, we continue to bring in the brightest minds in technology, sales, customer service and product and are extremely proud of all the achievements that have seen us win the Wholesaler Of The Year award, for the second year in a row,” said George Papaioannou Executive Director.

“Some of our best achievements over the 2018 financial year included: an increase in new agent sign-ups to our platform by 36%, growth in our product, partnerships revenue with new tourism board partners and market-leading technology. And, after a successful launch into the US over 18 months ago, we’ve also continued to grow our reach into the European global markets and actively expand our network of agents.”

“Excite Holidays is Made for Agents. It is both our brand tagline and our reason for being,” says George. “We want to thank all the incredible agents who have faith in our products, our service  and our people.”

“When our agents flourish, so do we. Our aim in 2020 is to support them by continuing to offer more innovation, market-leading technology, competitive rates and access to unparalleled product choice.”

Excite unveils new portal
Excite Holidays also has announced "the most significant system improvement in our company's history", with Executive Director Nic Stavropoulos saying the upgrade is the outcome of months of work to enhance travel agent workflow.

Initially rolling out in the UK but with a local launch planned before Christmas, new features promised include split payment and package pricing options.

"We have worked closely with key agents to ensure that the user experience and new feature sets deliver on their needs", he said.

A new user interface aims to allow consultants to access the most relevant information with ease, while the revamped platform architecture will enable the addition of new functionality – including the planned 2020 deployment of an air module.

Stavropoulos said the expansion of Excite's offering to iclude flights would be the next step in making the company's platform into a "one stop shop" with a mix of the best available gross fares and wholesale net fares expected to be avalaible when it launches early next year.

The significant rewrite of Excite's system will also allow for other future product additions.

"There's a lot happening in our camp. We are still running as fast as we can internally and smashing out these developments", he said.

Excite holidays also recently opened up its B2B platform to Greek travel agents.
